Isabelle Jude

Carrow met Lady Isabelle when he was about nineteen. There was an underground movement in the Lower City, where the impoverished with influence would lead rallies for the poor. In a seedy where the high-folk wouldn’t dare to tread, men and women would don masks and discuss how they could lobby the nobles and improve their lot in life.

Carrow saw a beautiful woman, caramel skin and dark hair, dressed in an unassuming robe of drab cloth. There was something different about her, something… enticing. Carrow would of course deny it was her beauty, he is not a shallow man, but he could hardly be blamed for admiring such fine art…

He struck up a conversation, and fell in love. She was insightful, passionate, she had a way of reducing grand concepts of societal change down into things that were… easy. Manageable. When talking to Isabelle he felt like anything was possible. More than anything, she challenged Carrow. She challenged his more violent beliefs about how to fix the ‘upper city problem’. Made him value cooperation and long term success over violent retribution.

The pair fell in love. Carrow discovered who she really was, and although they fought- even broke up for a while, Carrow knew that she cared for the people of the lower city. That despite not living the horrors that he has lived through, she would give anything to change them.

  • Isabelle is a champion fencer. She’s been training since she was 6, and among the top duelist in the city, having scarred more than a few gentlemen that hounded her despite her refusals.

  • Her father, Lord Jude, would not approve of her affair with Carrow. She keeps it a secret from him- and the nobles- because she fears being disowned.

  • Isabelle and Carrow like to play into the ‘dashing vagabond’ and ‘upper class lady’ act, despite the fact that Isabelle is significantly more physically capable. (Roughly a level five battlemaster ideally, up to you).
